Sorry but Blackburn were akin to chelsea being a rubbish team until the new owner came in and poured millions into the club back then. Jack Walker started the trend of talking over clubs doing poorly and pumping in the money to buy the best players. So no it was not a shock when Blackburn won the premiership, they bought that league title

  2. Paul Davis dijo:

Blackburn were incredibly rich at this time. This wasn't the equivalent to Leicester in 15/16, it was the equivalent of Chelsea or Man City winning the league. Blackburn underachieved as they could have regularly won cups and competed with Arsenal and Man U up until the Roman Abramovic era.

  3. Its should be kenny dalgish retained as rovers coach one season more so he can guide rovers to win champions league 96 edition this???

Usual clickbait title. No one at the time was SHOCKED. The money they spent and the players they bought meant the only surprise was they only won it once and didn’t build on it. There were no oligarchs or sheiks or foreign sugar daddies back then so the playing field was much more level.

  31. Rovers 95 dijo:

One of the best stories of the Premier League. Rovers taking it to the big boys and beating them when nobody imagined it to be possible. A life lesson for us all to never give up and to think big. Anything is possible!

Thanks to Uncle Jack, Kenny, Shearer and everybody who played their part in putting Rovers on the map. Fantastic memories, fantastic days. It's a disgrace what Venky's have done to Rovers. Hopefully the club returns to the Premier League soon, it has been too long.

Jon Dahl Tomasson looks like a man on a mission at Rovers. Come on Jon, let's restore a part of the Premier League furniture.
