People forget that start to the season, we played 2 of the 3 outstanding teams in Europe that most other teams lose to anyway. The opening game was away to Brentford who were back in the top flight after many decades, in their new stadium, with fans fully back after Covid so most other teams except the top 3 would have lost that game given the circumstances. Also throw in our squad was hit by COVID then it just made it worse for us. Other than Norwich, Arsenal had the toughest opening 3 games of the season. No surprise the only way was up after that.
Man United will be lucky to get Conference League. They are getting worse and worse.
if west ham, united, leicester & spurs weren't in europe, arsenal wouldn't be where they are. arteta's a genius for dropping out in all cup competitions. i watched arsenal yesterday & thought to myself, when was the last time they played? they are basically doing a cup-winning leicester. all the time in the world to prepare with no injuries.
Arterta is underrated manager, he might not be as good as JK, TT or JG, however, consider the quality of Arsenal squad (inc. PA left for Barca), top 4 finish is very good, no. 3 is still possible ?⚽️??

The weakness in this match are xhaka,lacca,cedric,martinelli,ramsdale. They played decent in this match but against team like liverpool,city and chelsea they need to play better.

I really want Tomiyasu back. He gives more solidity to the defence overall. Sure, they beat Watford but if the team wants to reach the level of Liverpool and City, they can't be conceding those two goals to a relegation team.
If Arsenal beats Chelsea to third, Arteta deserves to be manager of the season. I know it's really premature to talk about it since Arsenal need to take a big leap from its current level to beat Chelsea and it's barely past February. But it's a testament to how much the boys have improved as a unit from being bottom of the league with no goals and no points after 3 games to being in the conversation for third place in slightly more than half a season. Definitely deserve top 4 though but they need to keep their focus on every game for the next two to three months.
